Scandinavian design - a democratic approach

Traditionally, Scandinavian design has been associated with simple, uncomplicated designs, functionality and democracy. The general philosophy throughout the years has been that well-designed objects should be enjoyed by everyone, not merely by a wealthy few. If you are interested in the Scandinavian Design history you can read all about it and its core values in the book "Skandinavisk Design" by Charlotte and Peter Fiell. A book in wich you can find hundreds of high quality pictures and in depth interviews with famous and upcoming designers.
