Occhio - From the consumer’s point of view...

What makes someone spontaneously go into a shop and buy something?Is it the appearance, the price, the box, the colour, the design, the size, the need? The design of the small coffee table Occhio started from the “other end” - with the question; why do you buy? The result is not a revolution nor an innovation yet a very useful, easy to place, multipurpose tray/coffee table that comes in various patterns and colours in a beautiful flat box, knock-down to a good price. New Rocking Snooze

Its difficult not to fall in love with the ornamented surface on lounge chair Snooze. However many have found it rather stiff to sit on. Therefore Blå Station has worked hard with a new concept, in which they have tried to meet the request of a softer Snooze. Blå Station is now introducing a rocking version of it. Design: Stefan Borselius & Fredrik Mattson.

Swedese News of 2006

Swedese Möbler AB founded in 1945 is a classic Swedish furniture manufacturer with a strong anchor in both the domestic and public domain. At Stockholm Furniture Fair (which is held until februari the 20th) Swedese exhibits its news and furniture designed by Naoto Fukasawa. For instance this cool log, bench, stool and table in laminated, oiled oak.

New products - Normann Copenhagen 2006

Word says that the Danish company Normann Copenhagen recently presented a new product. A simple vase that puts the flower at the centre. Together with the designers Boris Berlin and Poul Christiansen, Normann Copenhagen have created "Pot for one flower" - the vase that can delude the eye. A well known shape out of new materials. Take the vase in your hand and you will be surprised. Will be available in the shops from April. Recommended retail price is said to be € 21 / for a set of two.

Cool pieces from Eva Solo

For the making, keeping and serving of ice cubes. The lid is actually a freezing tray. Just drop the ice cubes into the double-walled bowl and place the ice tongs at the top before serving. Design: Claus Jensen & Henrik Holbaek for Eva Solo.

Doctor Design

The shade part of this lamp Helmat is a free hanging textile spiral. It gives a soft and agreeable light to the surrounding. A beautiful piece by Petri Vainio for Finnish company Doctor Design.

Cho Cho

Cho Cho is the Japanese name for butterfly and the brand name of Finnish designer Kirsi Päiviniemis patterns, prints and products. I get lovely spring feelings and butterflies in my stomach only by looking at her gorgeous pieces! This Olive /White handbag is printed by hand on 100% cotton.

The best thing about the hand-printed little purse is that it’s actually not that little. You can fit a lot of things in this Sound patterned favourite.

The Fireball

Heat up the cold winter mood with these Danish delights. The Fireball, which burns brightly and beautifully in the garden in both summer and winter is part of the Danish company Menu's extensive garden series. Mouth-blown frosted glass made in a size that fits ordinary tealights. Design: Pernille Vea.

Last Christmas my sister gave me these gorgeous spoons and I have loved them truly ever since. A sleek and modern yet classical design in stainless steel. Made by Arne Jacobsen for the Danish company Georg Jensen.

Maze International

This pot stand in moulded Birch Plywood from the Swedish company Maze International has a different and organic shape. Designed by Jani Martikainen.
